are considered by many to be the best sleep systems available on the market. So, once you’ve decided on a latex product, it’s time to decide natural vs. synthetic latex. While much will boil down to personal preference in making a latex mattress purchase, there are several tangible characteristics the latex mattress types share and others that make them unique.
Both natural and latex mattresses share the body contouring traits of memory foam - the NASA-inspired technology that revolutionized the bedding industry by cutting coil springs out of the equation. Latex mattresses are pressure sensitive and cradle the body in a fully supported position where painful pressure points are completely eliminated. Weight is distributed so evenly that movement does not transfer to the other side of the bed. This effect is widely acclaimed and sought after due to proven medical benefits for those suffering from back pain, soreness, poor circulation or other physical injuries or conditions. Latex mattresses are available in a wide range of degrees of firmness to suit any preference.
Of course, with all those benefits, natural latex mattresses are generally the most expensive retail option. If budget is a consideration, the latex effect can still be felt with a less-expensive synthetic option or even a blend that mixes the two types together for a hybrid bed that many customers rave about.
